How to turn on or off a category in a store

If you decide that you don't want a category for golf accessories on your site, or if you decide that you do, making that category appear or disappear is easy to accomplish. Follow these steps below.

Turning on/off a category in your store

1. Login to your admin
2. Click “stores” (in the menu on the right)
3. From your list of stores, click the name of the store you want to edit
4. The store editor will pop up in a new, smaller window
5. There are several tabs in the store editor. Click the tab titled “Category”
6. On the category tab, there are, on the left side of the page, a list of categories in alphabetical order. On the right, in line with each category, is a plus sign, a minus sign, and an arrow turning over a circle. Ignore that last icon for now
7. To turn a category on in a store, you will hit the plus sign and, as you might guess, to turn the category off you hit the minus sign
8. If the minus sign or plus sign is grayed out, then that category is already all the way off or all the way on
9. No need to save
